Kalypso is a software product which may serve as a general modeling environment in the field of water resources management, for example for developing flood defense concepts, flood hazard maps and flood risk maps - which are presently of special interest due to the "directive on the assessment and management of flood risks" (2007/60/EG) For further information refer to (Kalypso).
Kalypso is designed to be used by public associations and public authorities, universities and engineering companies who are engaged in the fields of water resource management as well as nature and landscape conservation.
Kalypso is developed in the context of an open source project and may therefore be used free of charge. If you have any requirements which are not jet met by Kalypso, please refer to our research and development projects. There the capabilities of Kalypso are demonstrated.
