[edit] Kalypso Platform

Items that improve Kalypso in general.

Welcome page has been improved. Especially the project list of each module has been re-engineered. Change Log 2 2 welcomePage.png
Map tool-bars have been reworked, the tools do not flicker any more.
All map layers get now individually buffered, so some operations (like enabling a single layer or changing the selection) are now lightning fast. Map drawing is generally faster.
Basic translations for English and German available.
Some large GML files (i.e. 1d2d results) are now gzipped by default, greatly reducing hard disk space consumption.
Support for central project model databases (not configured / enabled by default).
Releases for several platforms are provided by default. Currently suported platforms are: Windows 32bit, Windows 64bit, Linux 32bit, Linux 64bit. Releases are mainly tested under Windows and Linux-Ubuntu. Underlying models (calculation cores) of KalypsoWSPM and KalypsoHydrology are currently not available for Linux.

[edit] Consumability / Reliability

Items that make it easier for users to get Kalypso, install it on their systems, and configure it for their use.

Basic configuration is easier, most default settings are now already predefined after installation.
On first startup, the user is asked for the location of the workspace. Change Log 2 2 chooseWorkspace.png

[edit] Kalypso1D2D

Quick-Info for roughness theme displays the roughness class and several other useful informations about a element.
The 1d2d tin results are directly processed to disk and compressed, improving memory consumption and performance of result processing. Change Log 2 2 dtmPreview.png
It is now possible to create a preview of the FE-net as terrain model, displaying it as isolines.
New map editing tools:
  • Merge Triangles: combine two triangles into a single element
  • Divide by intersection line: split existing elements by a breakline
Entering the breakline Preview of newly created elements
New 1D2D-Model Features:
  • 2D-Weir element: now it is possible to insert 2d-weirs into the model and also to simulate it
  • Creation of 2d weir-element is similar to the creation of new polygons. Important: this element will be always interpreted as one block of four-sided polygones with the same charakteristics. The last edge should be the second one of two short-sides-edges of the whole figure
2D-Weir

[edit] KalypsoHydrology

On-the-fly generation of hydrotopes.

[edit] KalypsoWSPM

Big performance improvement when displaying profiles in the map.

[edit] KalypsoRisk

Specific damage potential are now individually processed and accessible. Can be exported in .asc format. Risk zones export contains damage values instead of zone number.
