- Import Raster Image
- Import ESRI (TM) Shapefile
- Add Web Map Service (WMS) Layer
Import
Import Raster Image
- Background data import
- Background map --> browse (supported image formats: *.tif, *.img, *.png)
- Select coordinate system
- Finish
- map window: raster visible?
Import ESRI (TM) Shapefile
- Background data import
- Import ESRI (TM) Shapefile
- Next
- Browse for data, e.g. 'gemeindegrenzen.shp' (example shapefile necessay for testing)
- Select coordinate system, e.g. DHDN/3-degree Gauss-Kruger zone 3
- Finish
- map window: polygon visible? (grey transparent)
Add Web Map Service (WMS) Layer
- Background data import
- Enter URL or choose one of your favorites (e.g. http://geodaten.service24.rlp.de/cgi-bin/freetop.cgi?)
- Select one of the available themes and click 'add theme to map'
- Finish
- map window: WMS-Service visible?
