Input parameters

The input parameters in the plugin folder are provided in the listed text files (ascii files). These can be edited by the user. Each text file is provided with an information blog to describe the individual parameters.

ASCII file! Description of input parameters
runoffLossRate.dat Input parameters for calculating the loss rates of surface runoff in sinks based on the

Indication of the gradient, roughness and duration of evaporation of water from sinks.

lsdm.param Additional input parameters for modeling the hydrological and drainage processes in SUDS (overlays).
overlay.ctrl Configuration of criteria for control functions of SUDS (retention layers: e.g. cisterns, retention roofs).
strands.ctrl Configuration of criteria for the control functions of hydraulic structures in water streams

(e.g. tide gates, weirs, locks).

overlay.kami Input parameters of the flood routing calculation (according to Kalinin-Milyukov method) between SUDS (overlays).
strands.kami Input parameters of the flood routing calculation (according to Kalinin-Milyukov method) for water streams.
‘lsdm-name’.q Input parameters of rainwater harvesting as an ideal annual time series in the unit ( l/m²/day) for 365 days in the year.
‘lsdm-name’.q.sj Input parameters of rainwater harvesting as an ideal annual time series in the unit ( l/m²/day) for 366 days in a leap year.
strands.topo Input parameters to describe the profiles of water bodies.
"node-name".w Deposit of water level time series (e.g. from the gauging stations) for certain nodes. The node name(gml name from

user interface) is specified: "Name".

‘strand-name’.wvq Deposit of the WVQ relationships for the backwater affected flood routing calculation (using the Kalinin Milyukov method) from

a preceding hydrodynamic calculation.

nodes.xyz Geographical location of nodes in format: x (longitude), y (latitude) and z (height).
overlay.xyz Geographical location of overlays in format: x (longitude), y (latitude) and z (height).
minTimeStepSizes.dat User-defined input of a minimum time step size (e.g.: 0.1 seconds),

in order to depict in particular infiltration and overflow processes in detail.
(Optional specification! The time step size is dynamically reduced).

Details of the input parameters (descriptions, units) are given in the publication (Hellmers, 2020) on page 105 to 111.
